Further Information:
Is in symbiosis with the Pinus Halpensis. The fungus obtains minerals for the tree and it provides extra root surface area for mineral salts and water absorption. The tree provides the mushroom with the necessary carbohydrates and nutrients needed for growth. The huge network of hyphae created by these fungi is a great advantage for the tree.
